Description
Students will engage in multiple discussions with prompting questioning, and analyses of primary source documents relating to the earliest inhabitants of modern America. Original maps (supplemented with contemporary images and details), Letters from Christopher Columbus, Mayflower Compact, and Puritan poems by Anne Bradsteet. Students will analyze, create a replica artifact, and presentation about early Native American tribes. Students will also create a song/rap and music video relating an early group of settlers and conquerors such as the Native Americans, Spanish Conquistadors, Jamestown/Roanoke settlers, or Puritans.
