IESA Baseball
On these IESA pages, you will find information regarding regional hosting, brackets, state series information, an IESA calendar, and modifications (or exceptions) to middle school baseball rules.
The second link, "Legal Bats," features IESA exceptions to the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) baseball rules, which is used for Illinois high school teams. If interested in purchasing a bat for your son, I recommend reviewing and/or printing the "Bats (NFHS Rule 1-3-2)" exceptions to ensure your son may legally use the bat in a game.
